About me

Hello, my name is Adam Shillito, I am English and I live between Italy and Spain.

I've been designing toys since 1995, working with companies both large and small in many countries around the world and throughout that journey, one thing I have learned is that the less a toy needs to be explained, the better it is designed.

For me, every new idea passes through a relentless process of reduction, where each element undergoes severe scrutiny and nothing is superfluous. When people instinctively understand the purpose and uniqueness of a toy, the design has done it’s job. Simplicity isn’t the starting point, it’s what remains when an idea has been distilled to it’s essence.

For me, each and every project is a journey, a privilege and an opportunity to tell a new story about play. It is both an honour and a joy to think that these products may become part of people’s homes, creating moments of joy, discovery and connection along the way. I hope this philosophy is evident for you in the toys I have shown on this website. Thanks for reading.
